Russell G. Jazzar

Russell G. Jazzar, beloved husband of Dianne (Saunders) Jazzar, passed away peacefully at the Charles-Le Moyne Hospital in Greenfield Park, Quebec on Monday, June 29, 2026, at the age of 86 years. A man who loved deeply, laughed easily, and never met a car he couldn't keep spotless, Russell faced his Parkinson’s diagnosis with his trademark wit intact, proving to the end that a good sense of humor is the best medicine.

Russell grew up to become a highly accomplished businessman, respected by peers and competitors alike. He operated on old-school principles: his handshake was his word of honor, and his integrity was unmatched.

When he wasn't working, Russell was drawn to the great outdoors. He was happiest swinging a hammer at the cottage, with a golf club in his hand, waiting for a bite on a fishing line, or tracking through the woods on a “hunt”. He possessed a deep love for nature and found true peace among the trees. At home, he could often be found in the driveway detailing his cars until they shone, or loudly cheering on his beloved Montreal Canadiens and Alouettes.

Russell also had a legendary appreciation for a good meal and loved to eat. But above all else, Russell loved his family fiercely and was the ultimate supportive father and grandfather. He was happy to lend a tool or a hand to a neighbour in need, or an ear to anyone who needed it.

He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and devotion. Along with his cherished wife Dianne, he is survived by his loving daughter, Gillian (son-in-law, Peter); his adored grandchild, Anaya; his sister, Nancy (Jazzar) Corcoran; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on August 29th, 2026 from 12:30 – 3:30 pm at Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la forêt, Outremont, QC. Please join us to share your favorite stories, laugh at his old jokes, and celebrate a life incredibly well-lived.
