Alan Jay Turken died June 15, 2025 at the age of 92. Loving husband of Beverly Turken; dear father and father-in-law of Sherri Hamric and the late Terry Hutkins-Riley (Robert); dear grandfather of Tori Hamric, Molly (Jacob) Muncy, Joshua (Margo) Hutkins, and Daniel (Hannah) Hutkins; dear great-grandfather of Elliot, Annie, Judah, Lincoln, and Dylan; dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Eileen (Leon) Hirsch; dear brother-in-law of the late Martin (Barbara) Barnholtz.
Mr. Turken spent his career in the plumbing business. He was a scratch golfer, a Korean War veteran, and a devoted animal lover who raised horses and cared deeply for all animals. Above all, he was an outstanding friend -loyal, generous, and beloved by many.
Funeral service Tuesday, June 17th, 1:00 PM at BERGER MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 9430 Olive Blvd. No visitation prior to service. Interment follows service at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery in Chesterfield. Memorial contributions preferred to the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry or the Humane Society of Missouri.
