SIMON, Barbara I. (nee Kaufmann) age 97, on Sunday, July 6, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence T. Simon. Dear mother of Larry (Carol) Simon and Karen Jones. Dear grandmother of Gary Jones, Nick Simon and Laura Simon. Loving sister of Frank Kaufmann and the late John , Anton and Charlie Kaufmann. Dear sister-in-law of Evelyn Kaufmann.
In lieu of flowers, family prefers that expressions of sympathy in Barbara's memory be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. After 8th grade, Barbara worked and helped support her family. She was a very independent person who loved to grow vegetables in her own garden.
Services: The funeral service will be conducted in the Chapel of Hoffmeiser South County Chapel at 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation on Tuesday will take place from 11am until the time of service.
