

Mr. Doiron, who lived in Town and Country, joined Emerson in 1989. A longtime leader in materials procurement and logistics, his record of service included a range of management positions in purchasing and marketing with Emerson Motor Company before launching Emerson’s Asian Procurement Operation as vice president. He spent 5 years in this position living in Hong Kong. In 2004 he returned from Asia and was instrumental in establishing Emerson’s materials and supply chain operations as vice president before assuming his global product management role in 2008. During this time a pat enable “best in class” complexity review process was established with more than 50 divisions participating. Mr. Doiron was widely respected by his peers as a brilliant, quick witted, thoughtful and fiercely dedicated employee who was a joy to be around. He was a 1994 graduate of the Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis, receiving his MBA. He received a bachelor of science degree in Economics from Southern Illinois University in 1989.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Ellen, and three children: Alayna, age 20; Justine, age 17 and Luke, age 12. He is also survived by his father Roger Doiron, stepmother Ginger Doiron and sister Lisa Doiron as well as many other family members and dear friends at home and around the world.
Mr. Doiron was devoted to his family and was an adoring and dedicated father. He encouraged his daughters to follow their passion for musical theater and shared his son’s love for ice hockey. He was known by his family as the “fun planner”. He arranged for tickets to theatre, concerts and sporting events for the family. He also planned many trips and travels around the world. He displayed a child-like love of Disneyworld which will be part of his legacy with the family. He loved Christmas and cooking and hosted many family parties where there was lots of joy and laughter.
He was also active in his community, serving as president of the Clarkson Eye Care Charitable Foundation inspiring generous giving towards their mobile vision center, overseeing their yearly Gala and walk-a-thons. He was on the Leadership Board of the Westminster Christian Academy helping to raise funds for their new campus. He served as chairman of the Olin Eliot Society Fundraising Committee for Washington University and as a member of the Washington University Alumni Association took great pride in the school. Mr. Doiron also served on the Tower Grove Park Board of Commissioners. He has been a long time supporter of the following organizations: American Diabetes Association, member of the St. Louis Zoo since 1990 and Marlin Perkins Society member for 9 years, St. Louis Children’s Choir, YMCA of the Rockies and Rocky Mountain Nature Association, Animals Asia, the Evan Scholarship Foundation, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, United Way, American Red Cross, and many others. He not only donated himself but also encouraged others to donate also. He was a member of Gateway Christian Church and was helping them in their future building plans.
He had great passion for the game of golf and a love for the St. Louis Cardinals. He devoured politics and had an opinion about every topic yet could discuss with anyone (even those with differing views) in an intelligent and respectful manner about the issues. He was an avid reader and wine collector, and enjoyed cooking. He lived life to the fullest and fought valiantly with honor in his battle against cancer.
Visitation will be held Friday, Aug 19th from 2pm to 8pm and Saturday, Aug 20th from 9am to 11am at Kriegshauser West Mortuary, 9450 Olive Boulevard in St. Louis, MO. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Aug 20th at 12:00 Noon at Graham Chapel on the campus of Washington University, 6445 Forsyth Boulevard in University City, MO.
One of Mr. Doiron’s most deeply felt civic engagements was as a Commissioner of Tower Grove Park in St. Louis where he served as chairman of the Development Committee. Craig was passionate about the vital role that the Park plays in the life of the city. His family has asked that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Craig may contribute to a special fund that will be used to help maintain the beauty and integrity of Tower Grove Park:
