Debbi and family of Dave, Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time of bereavement.  Dave was a high school classmate of ours and well thought of by his peers. I remember him most in Student Council as someone who worked very hard for his classmates' needs and desires to make our class the best it could be. It was an honor to know Dave and work with him at SHS. A great loss to all of us.

I had the privilege of being a fraternity brother of David's at ZBT at Washington U.from 1964-67, but I also knew him more recently  from the incredible work he did for the Anti-Defamation League and the passion he had for broadening its messagge in so many ways to so many people. His talents and voice will be sorely, and sadly, missed.

David was a kind, caring and loyal friend.  May David's name always be recalled for a blessing.

So sad to hear of Davids passing. Being a member of the 1964 SHS graduating class, I only saw him at the reunions. At the last one he came to he teased me that he & I would be the ones to attend the last reunion of the 1964 class, so whichever one of us was left would have to turn off the lights. I guess it will be up to me, but I will be thinking of David. To his family...my deepest sympathy.

My heart aches for the loss of your husband / father.  Though I didn't know him well, the time I spent in David's company was precious.  I valued his quiet, kind, and thoughtful presence and will cherish the memory of your visit to Seattle, which gave Neil and me a chance to get to how how special David was.

Even from a distance, he will be missed.

your whole family was always in our thoughts. Separated by an ocean we feel  close and the confidence to see you every year in Nuremberg made at least me sure that such a severe illness like Davids could never happen. I feel sorry and sad that we not just can come over. I feel close to David and will remember his clear and positive way and our serious philosophical discussions. My thoughts are with you, like every day when I look at the halloween picture of the little guys Serena, Joel, Josh, Annika and Lukas in my office.

I served with Dave at the 102d U.S. Army Reserve Command.  He was truly an officer and a gentlemen.  My sympathies to friends and family members.

Dave and I were classmates at Springfield High School.  I remember him as a serious student -- more mature than most. My sympathy to Dave's wife and family. He will surely be one of the brighter stars in the sky.

Please accept my sincere sympathy.  David was a true friend in high school and a real gentleman.  I admired him greatly and am not surprised to read of his many civic and community activities.  He was a very, very good man!

What a tremendous shock to hear that David had passed. I am deeply sorrowful for you; my prayers are with you. I hold memories of first meeting David when we we both seniors in college, and being part of the extended/merged family - then getting to know you as the years went by.  Such an accomplished, intelligent man and great Dad David was- husband, too. I think of his graduation picture at my Mom and Henry's house- how life is so short. Love to you-

We are shocked and saddened to hear of David's passing. We thought the world of David and how special he was to our family through his beloved father Henry and his wife Aunt Nonnie. So many happy times shared through the years. Debbie, we are thinking of you and your dear children with heavy hearts.

Your Dad (husband) was always a joy in conversation.  While Sarina rode one of the horses, he and I would often engage in topics that ranged from the simple things of life to the deepest and most important values that we each held.  My prayers are with each of you as you face this loss.  My memory of him is of a man who sought to create a better world for his children in both their immediate situations and the bigger picture of life. Debbi. Forgive this informal communication with you but I am currently confined to Barnes Jewish Extended Care facility am unable to attend the service for David. You know how much I admired David. He was a special man and great role model

Such a shock to learn of Dave's passing. We attended grade school and high school and later in life ran in to each other at PAO Conferences. Dave was one of the good ones. Blessings to his family at this time of sorrow.

To Dave's family, I fondly remember many a great time with Dave in high school.  He was fun, intelligent, kind, and gentle.  My sympathies are with you.  SHS Classmate of 1964  (Phyllis Lessly)  My father, Roy Lessly, extends his sympathies too.  He knew Dave at SHS.

My deepest sympathy to your family.  I knew David since 3rd grade.  I thought fondly of him and was so glad I got to spend time with him at our 45th reunion.

David was a quiet inspiration to all who knew him.  His leadership, evidenced by his positions with the St. Louis Jewish Light, the Anti-Defamation League and St. Louis Hillel at Washington University, brought these organizations to new and strategic heights.  One accomplishment of David's stands out to me the most:  JENGA - the fragile but necessary process of building disparate parts into a tower that can easily be shattered should a significant link be taken away.  David's presence will remain and his tower will always stand.

To the family of David Grebler:  David was a classmate through most of my school days, and a dear friend.  I will always remember him with great fondness.  My sympathies go to all of you.

To Dave's family....I'm an old school mate from the days at Hazel Dell on through to Springfield High School.  I knew him as such a gentle soul. Dave had an extraordinary grace and dignity about him.  My sympathies to all of you.
