Delores Lauretta Powers

Delores Lauretta Powers, age 68, of Barnhart, Missouri passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She was born July 20, 1954 to Luther and Jeanette (nee Hertlein) Myers who have preceded her in death along with her beloved, Jeffrey Powers, her son, Franklin Fields, a daughter, Jodie Cribbs, a twin sister, Doris Schulz, another sister, Ethel Johnson, a grandson, Ethan Fields, and a son-in-law, Kevin Stanfield.

Delores leaves behind her loving daughters, Melissa Stanfield and Jessie (Robert Richards) Fields. She was grandmother to Emily, Michael, Craig, Claire, Shelby, and Franklin IV. Delores was an adoring aunt, a cousin, and a friend to many.

Delores spent most of her life helping others. She was a registered nurse, and her specialty was working with the elderly. She loved to travel, and sometimes she rode along with husband Jeffrey, he was an over the road truck-driver. Delores enjoyed her flowering garden and loved to tend to her plants. She definitely had a green thumb.

A graveside service for Delores will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Mount Hope Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. Family and friends may gather in the lobby of the funeral home prior to the service, then we will ride in procession into the cemetery.
