Diane, as your good friend, colleague and neighbor in Milledgeville, Georgia, know that you and your family are in my heart and prayers.  Your mother has gone home.  Although I never met Miss Evelyn, I feel as if she was my family, too (along with your father, Steve, Seth, Samuel and Zoe).  This is a personal loss for me, also.  The memories of your mother resonated through all of our conversations about family – especially the similarities.  I know her presence will be sorely missed during the days ahead.  But, Diane, I know that your strength will carry you through them.  Much love to you!

Diane,  I was saddened to learn of the passing of your mother. I’m so sorry for your loss. I have good memories of my college years visits to your parents’ home. Your mom was a sweetheart and I know you’ll be missing her this holiday season and for a long time. Valerie 

We are neighbors in Milledgeville of Diane and Steve and also good friends.  We did not have the pleasure of knowing Evelyn but have heard Diane and Steve talk about what a wonderful person, mother, and mother-in-law she was.  We can see her love and caring she taught and lived through the life of her daughter, our friend, Diane!  We are thinking of all of you and praying for you at this time of loss.  Praise God for this wonderful woman and her influence and love that will go on through her family forever.  Heaven has surely gained a special angel.
