

67, Kurt passed away peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Adoring husband of the late Suzanne. Devoted father to Jessica and Andrea. Son of the late Harold and Elinor. Brother to Tina (Ernie) Meyers and uncle to Rob, Emily and Winnie. Cousin to Karen Piersky (Ron) and Kirk Smith (Amy). Nephew of John Smith (Sally).
Kurt was the CEO of Allied Builders Corporation and chairman of the construction committee for the V.P. Fair. Kurt placed first in the 100 yard back stroke in National Junior College. He was a backstroke state champion for the Webster Groves, 1970 swim team and was the butterfly swimmer of the All American Webster relay team.
An avid outdoorsmen, Kurt spent much of his free time canoeing the Current River, fishing in Minnesota, hunting and gardening with his daughters. He and his family enjoyed time together cooking, having weekly family dinners and playing cards around the kitchen table. Kurt loved nature and could often be found taking long walks around the neighborhood or soaking up the sun on his porch. He was most at home on the sand dunes of Bluebell enjoying the sunsets on Lake Michigan with his family. A kind heart and friend to anyone he met. Kurt had a positive outlook on life and could always find the good in any situation.
The service will be held on Saturday March 27th at 11 am. If you are interested in attending please contact a member of family.
