
They were longtime members of Tpheris Israel (T.I.C.K.).
Marcia served as president of her chapter of Na’amat USA in St. Louis and on its board for many years. She taught at Francis Howell High School in St. Charles for about two decades.
Marcia earned a master’s degree in education from Webster University and a Bachelor’s from Ohio State.
Marcia was the daughter of the late Irving and late Sadie Rosenfield (Chesterfield) and was born and raised in Robinson, Illinois. Her family first lived on the second floor of the family’s women’s ready-to-wear store, The Hollywood Shop. Her parents built a house when she was still a small child, not far from the town square and had a family gathering that brought all the relatives together for a celebratory brunch the morning of Sunday, December 7th, 1941. Her love of teaching history resulted.
Her family moved to St. Louis in the 1950s. Marcia was confirmed at Bnai Amoona. Marcia met her husband after graduating college at a St. Louis JCC singles event, where her future husband Hannan fell in love with her at first sight. They were married for 58 years.
Marcia has two children Barry Nove (Alexandria, Virginia) and Sheri Nove (St. Louis), and one granddaughter Sarah (Barry’s daughter). Marcia is survived by her brothers: Dr. Robert Rosenfield and David Rosenfield.
Funeral Service Thursday April 30, 1 PM at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Blvd. 63132. The service will also be available via Livestream. Visitation before the service from 12:30 to 1 PM.
Burial will follow at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Rd. 63017.
