Patricia L. Walbert

Patricia L. Walbert, 78, of Arnold, formerly of Malden, passed away July 21, 2011. She was born, in Malden, on May 3, 1933, the daughter of Willis and Lennie (Bowers) Hill. Dear mother of Lynne (Vince) Blust and the late Martin Walbert. Loving grandmother to Siera Blust. Beloved sister of Alberta Schellhammer, Marcella (Argus) Coonts, Cathy (William) Ballard, and Eddie Joe (Nancy) Hill. Dear sister-in-law to Ruth and Mollie Hill, and George Carroll. She was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters, Billy, Perry Joe, and Jack Hill and Harold Towery, Bobbie Carroll, Bea Miller, and Edna Pressler.

Mrs. Walbert was a retired telephone operator with AT&T in St. Louis, Malden, Kennett, and Poplar Bluff after 30 years of service. She was later employed by Wal-Mart in Malden and Arnold for over 20 years. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd. Memorial Services will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, at the Landess Funeral Home in Malden, MO where the family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Inurnment in Parklawn Cemetery, Malden, MO. The family suggests memorial donations to deGreeff Hospice House. Arrangements under the direction of Hoffmeister South County Chapel, Saint Louis, MO.
