Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with Julia Pagett officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post #5553 and the Missouri Military Honors. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Ashley. Visitation will be held 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. Thursday August 16, 2018 at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Ralph was born June 19, 1921 in Vandalia the son of Ralph Coss Sr. and Martha Jane Moore Robertson. 1941 in Vandalia he married Virginia Jackson and had two children Ora Jane and Gail Euguene. She passed away. 1958 in Palmyra he married Mildred Widebrook and had one son Darrell Wayne. She passed away. In 1986 in New Harmony Christian Church in New Harmony he married Margie Perkins of Bowling Green. She passed away.
Survivors include sons Gail Eugene Robertson of Lubbock, TX, Darrell Wayne Robertson of Lubbock, TX; daughter Ora Jane Tolbert of Miami, TX; step-children Melvin Perkins (Nellie) of Middletown, Marvin Perkins (Judy) of Bowling Green, Sandra Everhart (Kenny) of Bowling Green; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three wives; two brothers Gene Robertson of Vandalia and Vernon Robertson of Fulton; sister Nell Berdien of Wauheigen, IL, step-daughter- in- law Mary Sue Perkins; granddaughter Sonya “Cricket” Everhart Bates.
Ralph was a member of the Christian Church of Lubbock, TX and served in the Navy during WWII. Ralph loved the Cardinals and anything that was chocolate - especially chocolate pie and triple chocolate cake. Ralph was a printer for 36 years for the “Avalanche Newspaper” in Lubbock, TX where he lived until 1986 when he married Margie Perkins. Ralph loved doing movies, popcorn, and soda with the grandchildren almost every weekend.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Everhart, LaVern Perkins, Keith Schneidler, John Perkins, David Jones and Matthew Perkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darrel Robertson, Gail Robertson, Jim Tolbert, Melvin Perkins, Marvin Perkins and Kenny Everhart.
Memorials may be made to the family of Ralph Robertson.
