Reesa was a special person and loving friend.  We met at the Jupiter-Tequesta Garden Club where we enjoyed making new friends, and learning about growing flowers in beautiful Jupiter. I was lucky to have met her.  I learned she was my neighbor and actually lived just short walk away! Our friend Pat told me today of her passing in May. I am heartbroken! My sincere condolences to her family and friends. May her memory be a blessing to all who loved her!

So sorry to hear this. I worked @ John Dewey High School in Brooklyn when Rissa was the Culinary Arts Teacher; she was a favorite of students & colleagues alike. She always was upbeat & dedicated to making her program the best it could be- & she succeeded wildly!

My heart goes out to all of Reesa's family and friends. She was the first person in I met in the Palm Beach Democratic Party.  She was an incredible leader who taught by example. 

She opened her home and heart for the sake of a better world.  She spoke lovingly of her children and grandchildren with Stephen always by her side. 

Her beautiful legacy will live on in all that we do.  Thank you Reesa. Rest peacefully.

The unimaginable happened last week when we all lost a friend and leader, Reesa.  A true fighter in every sense.  Those who knew her knew her amazing power to conquer the most difficult health issues.  Reesa was determined to feel better, get stronger and continue her commitment to her family, friends and community.
I had a special connection to Reesa as we were both Administrators and retirees of the New York City Public School system.  Reesa was the Principal of Sheepshead Bay High School.  This woman cared for the education and protection of high school students from all walks of life.  I loved listening to her reminisce about the educating and promise of safety for all of her beloved students. Next to her family, it brought the biggest smile in remembering the fun and challenges of those years.  Reesa had the uncanny ability to find humor in everything she did.  A beautiful smile always!
Then fast forward to the Palm Beach County Senior Caucus. Reesa founded and organized her caucus chapter.  With Stephen at her side always, Reesa was determined to reach the ever-expanding senior population in Palm Beach County.  Reesa was actually the wind behind the texting program which we are still using.  Every new strategy began with "I have to..." not "Could I...".  A true fighter for all democratic policies.  
Reesa has earned her place in all of our hearts.  A woman whose memory will live on.  May her memory bring a smile rather than a tear.  That's what she would want.

Reesa championed a fierce loyalty to truth. When I told her that I was running for office, she said it would be extremely challenging (which was true and I needed to hear this). After telling me it would be difficult, she went on to help plan how we could most effectively use the campaign to promote the ideals we share.  All along the way, she inspired me with her work ethic and brilliance. 

Reesa, you will live on in our memories.

Reesa Levy was a force to be reckoned with.  
     We all admired her tremendous drive, her outspoken defense of women's rights and voting rights, and all the years of service to the Democratic Party that she shared with Steve.
     On May 15, 2026 Reesa was honored in Convention by the Democratic Women's Club of Florida, where she had many friends.

Reesa was the major inspiration for hope in my personal Pancreatic Cancer journey. We met at Purple Stride and she affected me on a profound level. Reesa was the first patient to receive a personalized neoantigen vaccine in clinical trial from WashU thus contributing to the advancement for a cure for the desease. We had the opportunity to briefly catch up again at this years event. My sincere condolences go out to her family and friends who I’m sure are devastated by her loss but also better for having the privilege to have had her in their lives.

On behalf of the entire Broward/Palm Beach affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, we extend our sincere condolences to Reesa’s family and friends. Reesa was such an integral part of our PC community advocating for government funding for research and patient services. Personally, Reesa and I first met at a Washington, DC advocacy event and became fast friends as survivors. We will miss her greatly and may her memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

We got to know Steve and Reesa working together the last sixteen years in the Florida Democratic Party and the Jewish Caucus. Reesa was always the first to volunteer and no task was too menial. Whatever she did, Reesa did with superb competence and intensity.

Reesa was a passionate Jew and she was a fervent Democrat. The two were bound together in תקין עלם Tikkun Olam repairing the world. Tikkun Olam was the fulcrum of Reesa’s existence, her centering principle.

Even battling pancreatic cancer, Reesa responded by raising money and fierce advocacy for those suffering from pancreatic cancer and those searching for a cure.

Even in her death she is raising money to fight pancreatic cancer. That’s our Reesa!

We all needed her a lot longer. But she filled her years with such passion and quality.

As it says in אישת חיל A woman of valor excellest them all. Reesa was our woman of valor.

Reesa was an extraordinary woman whose kindness, wisdom, and generosity left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a rare way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and understood, and the world is better for the life she lived.

My deepest condolences. I met Reesa in 2016 as a Dem volunteer.  Reesa came to my home in January for a fundraiser, and less than 2 weeks ago rsvp'd that she'd be in Connecticut on the date of another fundraiser.  Although we only spoke sporadically, she was always kind, warm, generous, friendly, and totally invested in the moment.  May her memory be a blessing.
