

Richard Clay LaRoe will be welcomed with open arms as he joins his daughter, Rachel Lynn LaRoe Kasal who passed in 2022, his brother Tommy who passed in 2025, sister Dorothy Baumgartner who recently lost her battle with horrific Cancer, to whom he was very close, along with his parents, Nina and Walter LaRoe, nephews Ernie and Larry Baumgartner, and their sister Angela Horneker, so it will be a joyous home coming for Richard.
Richard passed Wednesday night, April 8, 2026, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Richard was born on September 28, 1951, he graduated from Kennett High School, Kennet, MO in 1969.
He then met his wife Olivia while faithfully serving his country in the Air Force through the Vietnam War.
Richard applied the discipline and principles acquired in the Air Force to his many years at Boeing, where he retired.
Richard was a devoted father to his and Olivia’s only child, Rachel and a loving grandfather to Avery Kasal and Elias Kasal who currently live in New York.
He is survived by: Olivia LaRoe, sisters; Pauline and Robert Cotnam of Hot Springs, AR, Betty and Elmer Smith in St Louis, MO, Leona LaRoe Counts in TN, Dorothy (who has passed ) and Jim Baumgartner in St. Louis, MO, Martha and Richard Hooten in Denton, TX and his brother David LaRoe in TN. Along with many nieces and nephews and friends.
The funeral will be held April 20, 2026 , 9:30AM At Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery
