Sandra C Taylor

Sandra Cecelia Taylor (nee Mahr) age 85, of Maryland Heights, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026. Born September 17, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Arthur and Norma (Kohm) Mahr. Sandy lived a life defined by humor, strength, and energy that left a lasting impression on her family.

She was a former long-time employee of Ozark Airlines, American Airlines, and Trans World Airlines (TWA), and she loved to travel throughout her life, embracing the opportunities, friendships, and experiences her work in the airline industry provided.

Sandy was preceded in death by her beloved son, Francis Russell Murphy Jr., her brother, Larry (Debbie) Mahr, and former spouse, Francis R. Murphy, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Jim Hilf) Powers; her grandchildren: Christina (Gary) Tiesing, Whitney Murphy, Mitchell (Katie) Powers, Morgan Powers, and Samantha Murphy; her great-grandchildren: Alexis, Rylie, and Brandon; and her siblings: JoAnn (Ken) Kastelic, Norma (Robert) Marr, and Edwin (Ethel Kaucher) Mahr.

Sandy's memory will live on through her family and in the stories, laughter, and love they will continue to share in her honor. She will be missed.
