I think about you all the time Sy. The Bailis Bunch, trout lodge, emerald green estates, those nights we ordered Boston market and had pretzels choc.  cup cakes. But more importantly I remember how I was raised with honor, integrity, and respect. Empathy was something I will never forget that you taught me. I will never forget all the good times we had together and shared. I learned a lot from you in my life, and I hold that close to my heart everyday.  I hope one day we meet again and eventually remaniss. You were a great man, businessman, leader, and Grandpa. I will always love and never forget you. Rest easy Poppa.

Dear Eunice and Family,
I am so sorry for you loss.  I worked with Sy for 17 years at Equality.  He was truly an unique man and boss! He could be a bear at times when warranted but was a gently person with a wonderful sense of humor.

To Sy's family I am so sorry for your loss. Sy has been one of my favorite people in life. Even after I retired we kept in touch. He was a dear man. He loved his business and we would talk about the "way things are now" for hours. I will miss him.

Sy, and my Uncle Bud, George, Shelly and Milton were great mentors and teachers to me,  What a unique group of partners.  I would not be the person I am today without their mentoring, support and friendship.  I would not have had the success I have had. They taught me more than a profession.  I'm very blessed to have had them in my life and I'm enriched by having worked with and known them. My work on rebuilding our city through the Missouri historic tax credit has a direct line to them and the knowledge they provided me.  So Sy and the group, deserve credit for this also. 
May your family find peace and blessing in Sy's legacy.

Sy, Best Friend, Best Partner, Put simply..I loved him...He will be missed! 
He was a mentor, a friend in need and friend in deed...Memories will forever be in my heart and mind..until we meet again and Kabitz..Yes Sy tried to teach this South St Louis Catholic..a little Yiddish...such as Mishegas...when we met a challenge and won or something good happened...or Shmaltzy...or Schmuck..not so good name...shtick...He tolerated my shtick...
