Beloved wife of the late Bernerd A. Schermer; dear mother of the late Jan Guffey (Randy) and Joy Cole; grandmother of Erin Merrill (Robbie), Sierra McCord (Joe), Natalie Powell, Felicia Winstead and Billie Powell, Adeena, Matthew and Eleanor Cole; dear great-grandmother of Maeve, Kyle, Haley, Owen, Brennan and Ryker; dear sister of the late Dr. Leonard Kent (late Irene) and the late Kenneth Kent (Estelle); dear aunt and friend to many.

Terry was one glamorous lady! Her enjoyment of beauty and iconic sense of style was seen throughout her life in the clothes she wore, the homes she decorated, and everything she did. She loved to cook and garden and planted hundreds of flowers at the farm she went to on the weekends with her beloved husband, Bernie. It was a place she loved, but loved most when her family came. She made a true haven for them. Terry loved to entertain and worked hard to see others enjoy themselves and feel special; from July 4th on the rooftop of Bernie's building downtown, to coasting the runway in a 747, to hosting Thanksgiving every year for her whole family, to Passover, fireworks or birthdays with her grandkids down at the farm. Terry loved to travel and went all over the world - tennis in Monaco next to Prince Rainer, dinner reception for the Prime Minister in Israel, sailing on the winning World Cup race ship, she loved it all. But what she loved to do most was bless her family. Her tireless efforts and open-handed generosity to her family and friends was remarkable and changed many lives. She was devoted to her family, her husband, Bernie, her two daughters, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her two late brothers. She will be greatly missed.
