Claudia Guidry Gaudet

ST. MARTINVILLE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Clifton J. Gaudet, the former Claudia Guidry, age 72, at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church.

Msgr. Douglas Courville will officiate the service. Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Tuesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Wednesday until service time.

A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mrs.Gaudet passed away at 9:25 am on Monday, January 10, 2011 at Louisiana Extended Care.

Mrs. Gaudet is survived by her husband of 53 years, Clifton J. Gaudet of St. Martinville; her children, John Allen Gaudet and wife Donna and Toni Lasseigne and husband Jude all of St. Martinville and Tammy Gaudet of Hampton, Virginia; five grandchildren, Brent Gaudet; Amber Hayes; Blake Lasseigne; Tori Gaudet and Misti Gaudet; one great grandchild, Thomas Hayes and one sister, Jane Hayes of Breaux Bridge.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Sylvia Latiolais Guidry and two sisters, Eula Mae Guidry and Nelda G. Vicknair.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Gaudet, Louis Gaudet, Raymond Gaudet, Brent Gaudet, David Hayes, Luther Vicknair and David Bateman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Vicknair and Bob Bateman.
