Ruby Segura

CATAHOULA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Ruby Boudreaux Segura, age 79, at 11:00 am Monday, June 9, 2014 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Fabre officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Saturday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm; and again on Sunday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Monday at 8:00 am until service time.

A native of Catahoula and resident of Breaux Bridge, Mrs. Segura passed away at 4:55 am on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at St. Agnes Nursing Home.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Edwards and husband Britt of Denton, TX; three Sons, Billy Dean Segura, Sr. and wife Lynn of Lafayette; Brian Segura of Breaux Bridge and Paul Segura, Jr. and companion Melinda Nicholson of St. Martinville; six grandchildren, Billy Dean Segura, Jr., Lacie Segura, Joshua Segura, Shaun Segura, Katie Belle Edwards and Dillon Edwards; seven great grandchildren, Remy Segura, Brock Segura, Raylen Drake, Lay’la Drake, Lanaeah Drake, Wesson Segura and Sawyer Segura; four brothers, Larry Boudreaux and wife Patricia and Patrick Boudreaux and wife Cheryl all of Henderson; Jimmy Boudreaux and wife Janice of St. Martinville and Johnny Boudreaux and wife Mary of Catahoula and three sisters, Helen Boudreaux of Butte la Rose; Anna Lee Fancher of Carenco and Anna Lou Guisendorf of Youngsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Meyer and Lena Johnston Boudreaux; four brothers, Wesley, Adley, Al and Michael Boudreaux and two sisters, Thelma LeBlanc and Cecile Davis.

Pallbearers will be Billy Dean Segura, Sr., Brian Segura, Paul Segura, Billy Dean Segura, Jr., Joshua Segura and Shaun Segura.
