

Diana Lynn McLoughlin, age 78, of St. Pete Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loving family and friends. She was born October 24, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, to William Donald Pugh and Loretta Amelia (Reiger) Pugh. She was preceded in death by her parents, her ex-husband, John L. McLoughlin Sr., Her Fiancé, William N. Davis Jr., and Daughter in law, Margaret (John) McLoughlin.
Diana was a 1964 graduate of Lima Central Catholic High School in Lima, Ohio. She worked for many years as the Office Administrator for Dr. Roque E. Tervel, Urologist, in Lima, Ohio. In the late 80’s, she moved to southern Florida, where she held various jobs including American Greetings, Part owner of D & J Auto, StemTech, amongst others. She spent much time as a volunteer at many organizations including, St. Pete General Hospital, Pinellas County Voting, Girls State, American Legion Auxiliary (Bingo), and a frequent blood donor. She was also an active member of the Elks, VFW, and American Legion Auxiliary in St. Pete Beach. She enjoyed travel, had a curious nature, and was always up for an adventure. She enjoyed her later years of life with abundant friends. She loved her walks on the beach, sailing, swimming and collecting seashells. To know her was to love her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, John (Traci) Lee McLoughlin Jr., Her daughter Joan (Joe) Newland. Three grandsons, J. Quinn McLoughlin, J. Kirby McLoughlin, and Logan Newland. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Johnson, Debbie (Neason) Burner and brother, Richard (Kathy) Pugh.
A gathering to celebrate Diana will be held at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Ave, St. Pete Beach, Florida on Saturday, October 18th from 11 am to 2 pm. And a private burial to follow at Dunedin Municipal Cemetery in Dunedin, Florida.
