Gerald John Lynn

Gerald John Lynn (Jerry) passed away on June13, 2025 in Tierra Verde, FL at the age of 86. He was the son of John Smith Lynn and Nora Carroll Lynn and is survived by a brother Jack and a sister Mary Ann. He was born on July 2, 1939, in Pittsburgh, PA and grew up in Wilkinsburg where he enjoyed pick-up softball games in Frick Park and rough housing in South Ave. alley with his friends and cousins.

He attended Central Catholic High School and graduated in 1957, when he began a successful 36-year career with Bell Telephone. He had many positions over the years and made many treasured friends along the way. He was known for his friendliness and fairness.

He made his life with Donna and together they raised three awesome sons, Dave, Ken & John and two very special daughter in-laws, He had three Grandsons, Ryan, Sam& Blair and one Great Granddaughter, Margo. His most memorable times were those spent with the boys and I. We believed he packed as much love & adventure into their time together. It was the Best!

You all shared your memories, your feelings with him, he knew he was loved, and he could not have loved his family and friends more.

If you would like to remember Jerry, take pleasure in a round of golf, listen to some great music or take time to appreciate a beautiful sunset. He was a true gentleman and a gentle man. He loved his family and will be forever missed.

A visitation for Gerald will be held Friday, June 20, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Beach Memorial Chapel, 301 Corey Avenue, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706. Funeral services will occur Friday, June 20, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at St John Vianney Catholic Church, church office, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706. A graveside service will follow, Friday, June 20, 2025 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5750 49th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709.
