With hearts forever changed, we announce the passing of John Darrin Miller, who went home to be with the Lord on January 1st. A devoted Christian, beloved husband, father, papa, and friend, Darrin lived a life defined by faith, generosity, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to lifting others.
From a young age, Darrin was a remarkably successful businessman, known for his work ethic, integrity, and determination. He was also a passionate sprint car racer and owner; earning multiple wins, championships and trophies—becoming a respected and deeply loved figure within the racing community. Yet despite his success, Darrin never measured his life by accomplishments—he measured it by the people he loved and the lives he touched.
To know Darrin was to know true joy and laughter. He carried a wisdom and faith in humanity that was rare and deeply felt. His heart knew no boundaries. Doctors, lawyers, bikers, race car drivers, everyday people, all knew Darrin—and knew his kindness. He never hesitated to help someone in need and would quite literally give the shirt off his back if it meant easing someone else’s burden.
Darrin carried a deep, selfless commitment to always lifting others. This was one of his most defining and shining traits. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone. If you had the privilege of meeting him, you were truly a lucky soul.
As a husband, Darrin was a best friend and partner, whose love was deep, steady, and unwavering. As a father, he taught his children countless lessons about life—lessons they will carry forever. That was Darrin—one of a kind, deeply loving, and endlessly proud. His guidance, faith, and example shaped who his children are today, and his legacy will continue through the values he instilled.
Though the pain of his absence is immeasurable, those who love him find comfort in knowing he is now walking and talking with Jesus, just as he always believed he would. In every pink-and-orange sunset, he will be seen. In every prayer, he will be felt—now spoken to alongside God.
John Darrin Miller is survived by his wife, Trish Miller; his daughters, Taylor Miller and Krystin Miller; his son, Blaine Miller; his nephew, Josh Miller; and his parents, Sherry Miller and John (Doc) Miller.
Until we meet again, may you find joy walking alongside Jesus while kicking up gold dust. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
Service information is pending at this time, and will be announced soon.
