

Al is survived by his loving wife Patty and his devoted children, Jessica (Aly) Nutgrass-Roberts, Joshua Nutgrass, and Elizabeth Bowman. He is cherished and remembered by his five grandchildren, Tyler, Jack, Carrington, Rylie, and Zoey. He leaves behind his siblings, Nanci(James) Geideman and Andy(Jean) Nutgrass.
He was the treasured son of Neva Don Nutgrass and the late Albert Doc Nutgrass.
Al grew up in Amelia, Ohio. Growing up, he loved to hunt, trap fish and spend time outdoors.
After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy. He spent four happy years between California and the South of Asia Pacific region.
One of his greatest passions was collecting Indian artifacts. He belonged to the Archelogy Society of Ohio and was a founding member of the Fort Salem Chapter. Al has a rather large collection of artifacts and would proudly show them off to anyone who came in our home.
He was scheduled to retire on May 1, 2026
Al was adventurous, kind, devoted, loving, hardworking, honest, loyal, and faithful. He loved Jesus and was a faithful Christian.
A small funeral will be held on May 28th 2026 11:00 a.m. at Riverpoint Church Southwest Freeway in the Lakeside Bldg. There will be a Celebration of Life in Cincinnati this summer. Details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
