Christine was born is Gary, IN on December 14, 1951, where she spent 30 years living in NW Indiana, until moving to TX in 1981. She was a Licensed Vocational Nurse for 45 years and worked for MD Anderson 20 of those years. She loved to quilt and had a passion for cooking. She had just retired in December 2016, and was able to spend 8 months of retirement with her loving husband of 38 years, Chalmers "Jay" Olah. They attended St. Thomas Acquinas Catholic Church where they were choir members. Christine was also a 9 year member of Houston Master Works Choir.
Christine is preceded in death by her father, Robert Patterson and mother, Joyce Fennema formerly of Crown Point, IN. Christine is survived by her husband, Jay Olah of Houston, TX; daughter, Hope Patterson-Rodriguez, son-in-law, Rod Rodriguez and "grand dog" Winter of Richmond, TX. She is also survived by her brother Robert Patterson of Fort Myers, FL; sister, Laura Wilson of Homewood, IL; and mother-in-law, Susan Sexton of Orange, TX.
