Esperanza Escobar was born January 11, 1933 to Juan and Bonifacia Barrera in Lockhart, Texas.
Her interests included gardening, sewing, picking pecans and most of all cooking for and being surrounded by her family. She was a very compassionate, loving, nurturing and a caring individual, always thinking of others first, and always reaching out to help others.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Escobar and daughter, Lydia Brogdon.
Survived by 10 children, Hortencia & Larry Crenshaw, Joe & Susan Escobar, Hope & Ep Trevino, Theresa & Thomas Saldana, Daniel & Martha Escobar, Susie & Bill Rojas, Suzanne Escobar, Lisa & Larry Alvizo, Steven & Jennifer Escobar and Andrea & Johnny Montoya with a total of 35 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
