Heidi Marie Wiggin was born on November 15, 1980 in Fort Hood, Texas to John and Margarete (Peggy) Wilson and passed away on March 27, 2023, at age 42. She is survived by her husband, Michael Wiggin, her parents, John and Margarete (Peggy) Wilson, her sister, Sandy Suckow, her brothers, Ben Wilson and Tommy Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Heidi was a military baby and shortly after her birth, moved to Mannheim Germany where her father was stationed in the Army. Her family relocated back to the States in October of 1986. She graduated from Midland High School in 1998.
Heidi and Michael met in Midland in January of 2000 and moved to Utah in March of 2001, where they lived for 14 years before moving back to Houston, Texas in April of 2015.
Heidi and Michael were married on May 15, 2004 at Michael’s Grandfather, John Stevens’ Ranch. In true Heidi fashion, the wedding was outside in a gazebo that Grandpa Stevens built for their wedding.
Heidi loved her family, fiercely. She loved the ocean and all creatures on this Earth, especially our first Pug, Wednesday. Heidi had such an infectious laugh. She had an insatiable appetite to learn and discover the world. Heidi loved to read, do ridiculously large puzzles, and play the piano. Heidi and her entire family earned black belts in Tae Kwon Do. She listened to a wide range of music, from Classical to Nirvana. She loved funky shoes, edgy clothes, and Michael.
Heidi and Michael shared a special love, friendship, and companionship that was obvious to all. She was at peace with God, herself, and faced life with tremendous inner strength, courage, and humor. She did not let her pain define her, but found joy throughout her life. Heidi will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
