Lucy G. Estrada

Lucy Estrada (75) a long time residence of Houston, TX, was called home to the Kingdom of the Lord, Our Father on Tuesday, 01/20/2015. Born in Manor, TX 07/14/1939. Lucy was the second of five children to Pedro and Jovita Garcia. Lucy had a full and active life, filled with love and laughter. She had attended the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service and graduated the top ten in her class in 1990. Lucy was very active and devoted to her church, St Benedict the Abbot Catholic Church. She was a member of St Vincent De Paul (helping the needy), the Alterguild, Bereavement Committee, Gift Shop, etc… She loved her lord, her church and especially her family and friends. Lucy is survived by one daughter and four sons, Nicholas Estrada, Benita Rodriguez, Isadore V (Maria) Estrada, Frank (Beverly) Estrada Jr, and Anthony (Sylvia) Estrada, all of Houston, TX., Two brothers, Daniel (Robin) Garcia of Stafford, TX, Joe Garcia of Liberal, Kansas and brother in law, Ed Morey of Colorado Springs, CO. Lucy had 11 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren and many other Family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Estrada, Sr, her parents, Pedro and Jovita Garcia, her sister, Delfina Morey, her brother, Alex Garcia, sister in law, Susie Garcia and her great granddaughter, Makenzie Johnson (Mookie). The Family would like to thank her St Benedicts Church Family. And a special Thanks to the staff at Harbor Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
