Mary Barrera

Mary was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was centered on her faith and her family. A full-time homemaker, she took great pride in caring for her loved ones and created a warm, welcoming home for all. She was a devout Christian who loved deeply and lived selflessly.

She is survived by her children, Michele Elizondo (Jesse), Lonnie Barrera (Michelle), and Amanda Bedrossian (Thomas); grandchildren Amber Irwin (Brandon), Joe Barrera (Karlee), Jesse Elizondo III (Gianna), Brenda Bedrossian, Gunner Barrera, and Bailey Bedrossian; and great-grandchildren Everest and Evelyn Irwin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabriel Barrera, and her children Brenda Barrera and Gabriel Barrera Jr. Mary Barrera’s life was a testament to love, faith, and devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

A wake will be held at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, located at 12555 South Kirkwood Road in Stafford. The wake is scheduled for Thursday, December 18, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. During this time, the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will take place at 6:30 p.m.

The Funeral Mass will be conducted at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1510 5th Street in Missouri City, on Friday, December 19, at 10:00 a.m.

The Rite of Committal will follow, with a funeral procession to San Gabriel Cemetery in Richmond.

Following the Rite of Committal, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the Parish Hall at Holy Family Catholic Church.
