Regina Gresham McGregor, age 69, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born February 28, 1957, Gina was a beloved presence in the lives of many, remembered with deep respect and enduring affection. She was a native Houstonian who lived in Houston most of her life, she will be honored for the steady grace with which she met life—marked by compassion, honesty, patience, and a thoughtful wisdom that quietly strengthened those around her.
Gina spent almost her entire working life in the oil and gas industry. She left Pogo Producing Company after more than 20 years of service as Director of Land Administration and later worked a few years with a smaller oil and gas company in the same capacity. She retired in 2007 to complete the planning of her and Don's retirement home in Bentwater.
In her personal life, Gina found joy in playing golf, oil painting, and travel. She especially loved riding as Don’s passenger on his motorcycle through 17 states, sharing the road on various rides with friends—moments that reflected her gentle spirit and her appreciation for time spent together.
Gina also gave generously of herself to her community. She last served as co-chair, alongside Connie Smith, of the American Cancer Society Bentwater. They hosted an annual live auction and fundraiser, helping raise around $50,000 in each of the two years they served. Her kindness and unselfish devotion were evident not only in what she did, but in the considerate way she did it—always with sincerity and care for others.
Regina leaves behind her beloved husband, Don McGregor, her sister, Mary Garr, her brothers, Jody and Mike Gresham, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Dreyer.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all of Gina’s friends who unhesitatingly supported her in the first few years of her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Their steadfast presence and compassion were a meaningful comfort.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on April 27, 2026, at Earthman Southwest Funeral Home, 12555 South Kirkwood Road, Stafford, Texas 77477.
“Thank you for being you, for bringing joy and happiness to everyone you were around, and for making me a better person than I was before I knew you.”
