Victor A. Linares, age 85, of Stafford, Texas gained his wings on Tuesday November 14, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was born on March 14, 1938 in Richmond, Texas to Feliciano Linares and Leduvina Arismendez.
Victor was an amazing husband, father, and Popo. He always made sure to make his family laugh with all his jokes, even the bad ones. He was the best storyteller and would make you sit and listen to them even if it was for the 100th time. He enjoyed BBQ get togethers with all his children and grandchildren.
Victor served in the US Army from 1956-1961 stationed in Vilseck, Germany. He worked at Imperial Sugar for 36 years. He was a supervisor in the shipping and receiving department. He also served on the Stafford City Council from 1969-1975. He was actively involved in helping with many elections.
After retirement he loved being with his friend, Pancho and doing yard work. Victor also enjoyed watching his favorite reruns of Sanford and Son. He always looked forward to cheering on his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys and his Arkansas Razorbacks. He loved listening to Tejano music, especially Ramon Ayala. He never missed a chance to get up on stage to sing and play the air accordion.
Victor is survived by his children, Cynthia Brooks and her husband Lewis, Diane Linares, Delores Villarreal, Larry Zepeda and his wife Mary, Patricia Allen and her husband Mark, Mary Carmen Linares and her husband Ricky, Donna Linares Garcia and her husband Jesse and Victor Linares, Jr. With a number of grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
