Victoria Utibe Bobmanuel

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Victoria “Toria” Utibe Bobmanuel, who departed this life on Saturday, February 8th, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of Ibim and Abigail Bobmanuel, a devoted sister to Tonye, Melinda, and Jane Bobmanuel, a godmother, and a treasured friend to many.

Toria’s life was a testament to faith, service, and love. As a dedicated pediatric and geriatric nurse, she found her life’s purpose in caring for the most vulnerable—children and the elderly. Bringing comfort and healing with her compassionate touch, unwavering patience, and deep commitment to her patients. Her work was more than a profession; it was a calling—one she answered with grace and devotion.

Born into a rich Nigerian heritage, Toria was deeply proud of her roots. Her father hailed from Abonnema, Rivers State, and her mother from Calabar, Cross Rivers State, both legacies she carried with honor and love. She embraced the beauty of her culture and traditions, always celebrating with pride and joy.

A woman of unshakable faith, Toria lived her life guided by her Christian beliefs. She actively participated in women’s conferences and outreach programs uplifting children and empowering women in her community both home and abroad. She believed in the power of faith, prayer, and sisterhood, always seeking ways to serve and support those in need. Her generosity extended beyond words—she was deeply committed to charitable endeavors, regularly donating school supplies to primary schools in Nigeria, ensuring that students had the resources they needed to learn and thrive.

Beyond her profession and faith, Toria was a woman of many talents and passions. She was a gifted crocheter and embraced various creative ventures that reflected her vibrant spirit. Similar to her mother, Toria had a deep love for dancing, finding joy and freedom in movement. But perhaps what made her truly unforgettable was her jovial and humorous nature—her ability to fill any room with laughter, lighten heavy hearts, and bring joy to those around her. Her quick wit and infectious humor made her a source of endless delight to family and friends.

Toria’s love knew no bounds, extending even to her beloved pups, Chosen and Cherish, who brought her immense happiness. Their unwavering loyalty mirrored the love and kindness she gave so freely to everyone in her life.

Victoria’s warmth, laughter, and boundless generosity touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her physical presence will be deeply missed but her buoyant spirit will be forever cherished by her parents, sisters, family, friends, colleagues, and the countless lives she impacted.

Thank you for your love and support in honoring Victoria’s life and legacy. May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may we find comfort in knowing that her beautiful spirit will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
