Vince enlisted in the U.S. Army June 1945 and served during World War II. He married the love of his life, Mary Shonemann Mule on July 22, 1954. He was a devoted Catholic attending Holy Family Catholic Church in Stafford and later in Missouri City. Throughout his farming career he farmed milo, cotton, soy beans, and corn.
