Wilma grew up in Mt. Hope, Ontario on the family farm and attended the local school system.
She met her husband, Jack, as a payroll clerk at the Stelco Steel Company in Hamilton, Ontario in 1956.
The two were married on July 20, 1957, at Mt. Hope Community Church. Throughout their 68 years of marriage, they lived in Hamilton, Ontario, Houston, and Montgomery. Together they shared a love of travel and exploring destinations across the United States and around the world.
Wilma and Jack raised their three daughters, Jacky Ducote (Clyde), Joanne Hughes (Perry), and Janet Pesl (Carl) in Houston. They welcomed six grandchildren: Katie, Jason, Charlotte, Spencer, Jamie, and Kerrie. As well as nine great-grandchildren: Anton, Norah, Levi, Everett, Lillie, Barrett, Rose, Willey Jane, and Jack.
A wonderful seamstress, Wilma was known for her remarkable talent with a needle and thread. She created, tailored, and repaired many garments for both family and friends. She later became a very accomplished quilter and was a member of the Montgomery Quilting Guild. Wilma was a member of the Ladies Association of Walden for over 20 years. She was a devoted volunteer with the Montgomery County Assistance League where she earned a Silver Star award for 25 years of service.

We are comforted by knowing she lives-on in our hearts and cherished memories.
