David Ruth Sr.

Born on April 11, 1958, in Easton, PA. David was the son of the late Samuel L. Ruth Sr and the late Francis M. Ruth of Phillipsburg, NJ. He graduated from Phillipsburg High School before enlisting in the United States Army, earning sharpshooter badges and good conduct medals, among others. Upon honorable discharge from the military, Dave entered the heavy construction industry where he became one of the most accurate and reliable dozer operators in the state of Virginia for almost 40 years before retiring in 2024.

Dave was preceded in death, now reunited with, his wife and soul mate, Cindy Janet Ruth in 2020.

Dave is survived by his two children, David Charles Ruth, Jr, 44, of Stafford, VA and Heather Rose Lamoureux, 41, of Stafford, VA; his six grandchildren that he adored, Emma Rose Schmidt, David Logan Ruth, Allison Marie Schmidt, John Allen Ruth, James Charles Ruth, and Lucas McKinley Lamoureux; his loving sister, Tina Marie Lipari of Bangor, PA and brother Samuel L. Ruth Jr of Phillipsburg, NJ.; his nieces Carly McKeon and Elizabeth Reierson and his nephew Dustin Pare.

We will all miss Dave's loving and unwavering dedication to his family, his goofy one liners, and his hugs. May he live happily in heaven forever with his one true love.

Dave's memorial services will be held at 11:30am on Friday October 3, 2025, at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico. 18424 Joplin Road, Triangle, VA 22172
