She was born on October 19, 1942 in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Emmerson and Opal (Lowry) Kerns. She retired as an Army Civilian Supervisor for the U.S. Government.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Richard Bunker.
Survivors include her daughter, Rona Bauwens and husband Andrew of Stafford, VA; one son, Patrick Tray and wife Jill of Nokesville, VA; one step-daughter, Tonya Lakner od Maryland; one brother, Lloyd Kerns and wife Becky of Maysville, Missouri; one sister, June Owen of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, June 2, 2025 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford, VA with Rev. John Hodgen officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico.
