

Douglas W. Tuck, 61 of Lexington, North Carolina, formally of Woodbridge, Virginia, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC due to complications of surgery.
Doug was born in Washington, DC on March 20, 1963, raised in Woodbridge, Virginia and attended Gar-Field High School.
Growing up he loved playing all sports, hanging out with his neighborhood friends, the “Arizona Gang,” and hunting with his dad, brother and uncles.
His passion was stock car racing where he raced multiple classes over many years at Old Dominion Speedway. He won two championships in the Grocery Getter Class. Out of all the races over the years the most meaningful race he won was the “Race for the Cure” to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, as he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 13.
Doug met the love of his life, Sharon in 1990 and they were married in 1995. They had a daughter, Melissa, who he absolutely treasured. He loved and enjoyed spending time with all of his family and friends. Doug and Sharon lived in Woodbridge, VA until they moved down to Lexington, NC in 2020.
Doug was a Christian, he was kind, humorous, had a great big heart and loved fixing things. It always made him feel good when he could help others. He was a mechanic and worked for Kaz Automotive in Stafford for 18 years where he was nicknamed “Super Doug.”
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Evonne Tuck.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 29 years, Sharon Tuck and daughter Melissa Tuck of Woodbridge, VA; father, Victor Tuck of Woodbridge, VA; one brother, David Tuck of Woodbridge, VA; two sisters, Vicky Schwenger of Myrtle Beach, SC and Laura Baker of Bristow, VA along with many friends and family members.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service located at 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA 22554, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, visitation at 10am, funeral at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited back to Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home for lunch immediately following the burial.
