He was born on May 22, 1941 in New York, NY the son of the late Dominick and Sally (Fiumara) Bonafede. He retired as a Gunnery Sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corp. After retirement, he worked as an electrician.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Bonafede, II; his grandson, Joshua Tait Melvin, Jr.; his brother, Frank Bonafede; his sister Loretta Eaton.
Survivors include his four children, Anthony E. Bonafede of Fort Washington, MD, Michael J. Bonafede III (Tiffany) of King George, VA, Joey D. Bonafede (Jordan) of Stafford, VA, Laura L. Bonafede of King George; two brothers, George Bonafede, Leonard Bonafede; two sisters, Anna Bradfield, Carol Seniw; three grandchildren, Olivia Bonafede, Abbie Bonafede, Jase Bonafede; one great-grandchild, Ava Rose
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00am Thursday, April 20, 2023 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA where funeral services will be held at 11:00am. Interment will follow at 12:30pm at Quantico National Cemetery.
