Nichol Daniels

Nichol Patricia Daniels was born on May 21, 1979, in Madigan Army Medical Center, Fort Lewis, Washington and passed away suddenly on May 22, 2022 while in Orlando, Florida, just one day after her 43rd birthday.

Nichol is survived by the love of her life, her daughter Olivia Emersyn, her mother Hannelore; her father Joe and his wife Marcia; her sister Alexandra and her husband Doug; her dear brother John; her “Granny” who couldn’t be here today; her Uncle Jay and Aunt Cheryl, Aunt Debbie, Aunt Natalia, cousins Jamie and Julie and many other cousins in South Carolina; her niece (Alexa) and nephew (Tyler) here in Virginia; and many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins living in Germany.

Nichol began her formal education in a German Language Kindergarten in Augsburg, Germany, followed by continued education in Augsburg, Fort Meade, Maryland, Munich, Germany, and finally graduating from Garfield High School in Woodbridge in 1997.

Nichol’s love of children was evident during her senior year in high school as she served in the Christ Chapel Church Daycare center as part of her senior curriculum. Shortly after graduating from high school, she became the office manager of a now lesser-known computer retailer, Gateway Computer Corporation. She also had a great love of animals, so she created a pet care business she affectionately called “Paws and Claws Pet Care”. She loved animals so much she continued to care for a close friend’s dogs long after she closed the Pet Care business. She finally found her last position as a Customer Service Representative with TRESCAL, which she loved as the position gave her great personal satisfaction and allowed her to discover new friends and colleagues.

Nichol will be missed dearly by her family and friends. She always brought joy into the room to brighten everyone’s day with her smile and her laugh.
