Stafford County resident since 1995 Bob Terry was known and beloved throughout the community. Some know him as a Race Car Driver at Virginia Motor Speedway. Others knew him after his racing days as the Driver line-up Boss. He loved spending time at the race track. If you purchased something from Total Liquidators or rented something from Total Rental or Party & Tent Rental you probably met Bob. His latest venture is Stickers N Signs which has vinyl wrapped race cars, work vehicles, and First Responder equipment. The business will be taken over by family. Lucky friends and family members of Bob were the recipients of some magnificently created/ crafted/ or built gifts. He had a knack for producing the exact right thing for the right person. His generosity is known to many, he’s the guy who’d do anything for anybody. He took in and housed “extra kids”. His heart was so big he helped out a number of young people in need. Bob’s hobbies included RVing, camping, boating (President of the Redneck Yacht Club), he loved Cruising with friends to new places, was eager to join a poker game, and holds the title for biggest jokester. Bob made an art of Sunday morning breakfast and really enjoyed cooking. His sons fondly remember telling dirty jokes with their dad, including telling people they’d dropped something. He’s the master of making jungle-juice for parties and could be found with his drink of choice in hand; what he called Dr. Morgan or Captain Pepper. Raise a glass and toast to our wild and crazy guy Robert “Bob” Terry.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lani; three sons, Robert "Link" Terry Jr., Nicholas Terry and wife, Rebecca, and Heath "Scooter" Terry; brother, Johnnie Terry (Vicky); sister, Karen Ailstock(Paul); and two grandchildren, Lelu and Tate.
The family will receive friends at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1:00-2:30 pm, with a celebration of life starting at 2:30 pm. Interment will be private.
