Ruby Jane Humphries

She was born on August 9, 1936 in Triangle, VA, the daughter of the late Jessie and Fannie (Anderson) Williams. Ruby was a Property Manager (retired) for Christian Relief Services, managing The Melrose Apartments in Triangle, VA for many years. She will also be fondly remembered as the Triangle Correspondent for the Potomac News newspaper.

Ruby was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 34 years, Carroll Henry Humphries, Jr.; grandson, Scottie Humphries; and son-in-love, Kevin Curtis, Sr.

She will be lovingly remembered by her seven children, Barbara Brewer (Werner), Lynn Curtis, Mike Humphries (Cindy), Lisa Weaver (Dave), Kim Humphries (Eddie), Kevin Humphries (Michelle), Kristi Nixon (Steve); one sister, Doris Crider; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Ruby was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church and community. She was a founding member of First Assembly of God Church, Triangle, VA, where she served in many capacities throughout the years, to include more than 65 years as church pianist.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 200 Onville Road, Stafford, VA 22556 on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 6:00 pm.
