He was born on March 21, 1953 in Washington, DC the son of the late Paul R. and Etta E. (Harding) Scafone. He retired as a Contract Specialist for the U.S. Navy.
Steve was an all-around handyman who could fix pretty much anything. He loved working on cars, was an avid model train enthusiast, and die-hard Yankees fan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Sandra Scafone; two sons, Glenn Scafone (Jessica) of King George, VA, Robert Scafone of Fredericksburg, VA; one daughter, Kathryn McAlpine of Alexandria, VA; one sister, Carole Bryan (Mac) of Winchester, VA; and 6 grandchildren.
