She is survived by her husband, Charles Scheffer of Greensboro; son, Charles Scheffer of Greensboro; daughter, Amelia Scheffer of Fredericksburg; mother, Willa Mae Green of Stafford; sister, Jeanne Bonwill, niece Carson, and nephew, Peyton of whom she made her home with; two sisters, Marina Meadows and husband, Dwayne of Altoona, PA and Heather Green of Stafford; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loving dog, Harley.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 9 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel, with the family receiving friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Heart Association or Mary Washington Hospice.
