William Edward Fleming

MSgt William Edward Fleming, USAF Ret., 82, of Falmouth passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at Mary Washington Hospital.
He was born on April 14, 1935, in Hester, N.C., to Samuel A. Fleming, Jr., and Emma Blanch (Haskins) Fleming. He retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service that included many assignments overseas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Barbara, and two daughters, Audrey Lynne Fleming of the home and Karen Anne Fleming-Michael (Steve) of Frederick, MD. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph T. Fleming.
A loving husband and father, he enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, fishing, planting vegetable gardens, completing the daily Jumble, and laughing at the antics of the family pets.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 22, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
