Barbara Bluestone (née McCarty) passed away on February 19, 2025. She is survived by her son, Cormac, and his wife, Emily; and her beloved grandchildren, Vivian and Hugh. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert (Rob) J. Bluestone, and her son, Nicholas Bluestone.
Barbara was one of seven children and is survived by her siblings: Chip McCarty and his wife, Tia, of Boston; John McCarty and his wife, Judi, of Darien, CT; Matthew McCarty of St. Augustine, FL; Mark McCarty, of Aiken, SC and his wife, PA; Michael McCarty of Palm Beach, FL, and Elizabeth Kuensell; and Eileen McCarty Magill and her husband, David, of Glen, Ireland.
Additionally, she leaves behind her sister-in-law, Barbara Bluestone, of New York; her brother-in-law, Stephen Bluestone, and his wife, Carol, of Washington, D.C.; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
At her request, graveside services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Nicholas H. Bluestone Fund at Kent School, Kent, CT 06757, or The Robert J. Bluestone Caddie Scholarship at the MGA, 49 Knollwood Road, Elmsford, NY 10523.
