David L. Hoffman, 89, born in Newark, NJ on May 30, 1936, passed away peacefully at his home in Connecticut on March 11, 2026. A devoted father, brother, grandfather and friend, David was a proud graduate of Dartmouth College (Class of 1958) and the Amos Tuck School of Business (Class of 1959). He built a distinguished career as a NYC real estate executive, respected and admired by colleagues and competitors alike for his authenticity and steadfast integrity. Above all, David was deeply devoted to his family, cherishing time spent with his children and grandchildren at home in CT and Sun Valley, ID. His love of family, quick wit and exceptional moral character will inspire and guide his family for generations. David is survived by his children, David Jr., Susan, Cathy, Matthew; their spouses; his beloved grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
