David O' Neal

David O’Neal 52 of Stamford CT., passed away on August 20, 2018 in his home. David was born in Norwalk CT. on 3/9/66 to the late: Ollie Credle and James Ellis O’Neal. David was also raised by the late: Lillybelle Hawkins and Rena Williams as well as very special mentors: Keith Simmons and Hezekiah Hill. Special thanks to Stacy Peete, the Norwalk Hospital and Greg Prichard, Open Door shelter, Stamford Manor Staff, and Stamford Hospital. David is survived by one brother Steven O’Neal and two sisters Denise ONeal (Cooper), Marjorie O’Neal (Merrit). One Sister in Law Amy O’Neal; two brother in laws: Kenny Merritt and Theodore Cooper. David is a graduate of Stamford High school. David was a very popular rapper and dancer back in the late 70’s and 80’s. He was very smooth with his dancing, especially when he would do the moon walk at various high school dances. David loved to dress and was very stylish. “Dave” was known as “Spice Nice” back in high school and was loved by all, especially the ladies. Dave loved his relatives dearly and would ask about nieces, nephews, sisters, brother in laws daily even though he could not see them often. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 29 at 11:00 AM at the Leo P. Gallagher and Son Funeral Home 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT 06905. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Riverside Avenue Norwalk. Viewing hours will be from 9AM to 11AM. Flowers would be much appreciated. Also, David spent many years at the Norwalk Open Door Shelter 4 Merritt Street Norwalk, CT 06854 donations there would be much appreciated.
