

Jim was a graduate of J.M. Wright Technical High School and served in the Army National Guard of CT. He had a long career in the construction business as a mechanical contractor and was Vice President of W.R. Johnson Company for more than 35 years.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Antos Bogdanski McKaige with whom he had just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, son David and his wife Sylvia of Singapore, daughter Wendy Ferguson and her husband Tim of KY, son Brian Bogdanski and his wife Noreen of Fairfield, daughter Therese Bernstein and her husband Warren of Riverside and son Theodore Bogdanski and his wife Marybeth of Madison, NJ. He is also survived by eight grandchildren: Lauren, Mark and Kathryn Bernstein, Teddy and Justin Bogdanski, Gavin Brackett and Dylan and Christopher McKaige, and his sisters Helen Walters of MS and Alvina “Bobbi” Paulding of FL. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a brother Stewart McKaige and his sister, Dorothy McKaige.
Jim was a sweet, gentle, caring man with a ready smile. He had a lifelong love of sailing and was an active member at the Stamford Yacht Club for more than 25 years. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
Jim’s family will receive family and friends on Friday, August 9th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer St., Stamford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Spirit Church, Stamford on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. and interment will immediately follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made to Holy Spirit Parish, 403 Scofieldtown Rd, Stamford, CT 06903.
