Margaret "Peg" Cuddy

Peg was born in Greenwich, CT on November 5, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Margaret Roick.

Peg graduated from Greenwich High School in Greenwich, CT. She started working at a very young age at her family’s catering company and became an accomplished chef. She also worked in accounting for the insurance industry for many years.

Peg loved to host dinners and parties; seeing friends and family enjoy her creations brought her so much joy. She also enjoyed traveling and watching sports, especially football and golf. She was also an avid reader.

Peg and her husband frequently travelled to Portland, ME before retiring there in 2011. In her retirement, Peg served as president on her condominium board and enjoyed sailing, trying the Portland food scene, and shopping downtown. They had returned to Connecticut during COVID to be close to family.

She is survived by her children Steven (Kathy) Stenquist, Suellen (Rick) Lyon, Scott (Moira) Stenquist. Her grandchildren Keri Stenquist, Sydney Stenquist, Tyler Stenquist, Alyssa Lyon and Christopher Stenquist; and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Joseph Cuddy, her sister Ellen Nordholm and brother Ernest “Bud” Roick Jr.

Service to be celebrated on February 3rd at 10:00am at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 2900 Summer St Stamford, CT.

Private interment to immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Darien, CT.
