

Born in Gonaïves, Haiti, she was the beloved daughter of Rosana Atilda Tribie and Jermain Moise. Raised with strong values of faith, compassion, and perseverance, she attended school in Gonaives, Haiti, where she developed the resilience and caring spirit that would define her life.
After immigrating to the United States at the age of 24, she fulfilled the requirements to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and dedicated many years of service to the Villa at Stamford formerly known as Smith House, where she worked faithfully as a Nurses Aide until her retirement. Lovingly known as souer Delva, she approached her work with kindness, patience, and dignity, caring for others with the same warmth and compassion she showed to her own family. Her gentle presence and nurturing heart left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched throughout her career.
Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, relative, and friend whose love for her family knew no bounds. She was a wonderful cook and gracious hostess who found great joy in welcoming family and friends into her home for memorable meals and gatherings. A woman of deep and abiding faith, she loved God wholeheartedly and found comfort, strength, and peace in reading the Bible. Her faith guided her through both life’s challenges and its many blessings.
She will be remembered for her loving spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and the quiet strength, dignity, and grace with which she lived her life. She leaves to cherish her memory her three devoted sons, Rony Delva, Claude Delva, and Lawrence Delva; her loving daughters-in-law, Shirley Delva, Edna Delva, and Rose Joseph; and her nine beloved grandchildren: Diamond Delva, Dominique Delva, Deyani Delva, Giovani Delva, Tatiana Delva, Alexis Delva, Tamaya Delva, Sam Jusset, Menna Delva, and Yared Delva. She was also blessed with two precious great-grandchildren, Mila Jean-Charles and Summer Herrera, who brought her immense joy and pride.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pierre H. Delva. Her legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Funeral services will be held at Gallagher Funeral Home. Viewing will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will immediately follow at Woodland Cemetery in Stamford, CT.
