

Ms. Mary Creamer, 71, of Southbury died on May 8, 2012 following a brief illness. Ms. Creamer was born on December 26, 1940, in Stamford CT, Christmas was always her favorite time of year. Born to the late James and Elizabeth Creamer, Mary moved to Southbury at the age of six.
Mary worked many years as a kitchen support staff. She left that position to become a waitress and assist in food preparation at the Country Café. Mary’s culinary skills continued to expand with her employment at Leonardo’s Bistro. She learned to make homemade ravioli, Italian cookies, pizzas and specialty salads while continuing to hone her waitressing skills. Mary worked up until the time of her illness and was eagerly waiting the grand re-opening of the Gatehouse Café. Mary was always a very diligent worker; she took great pride in her skills and her ability to help others. Mary leaves her co-workers and many customers who will remember her fondly.
She enjoyed Bingo with the Columbiette’s of Sacred Heart Church and the Quota Club. She enjoyed vacations at Camp Harkness, the old Woodbury “Tique” Mart, shopping and going out to breakfast. Mary collected music boxes and small nostalgia items. Mary lived with many of her friends for over 30 years and leaves behind her close friends; Joan, Lettie, Virginia, Claire, Joy, Lois and Julia.
Ms. Creamer is predeceased by her brother, James. She leaves behind her twin brother, Dennis Creamer of Rye, New York.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 18, 2012 at 10:00am at St. Mary’s Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford CT; burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Darien.
