
Born in New Rochelle, NY, she was the daughter of Darlene Hornstein and Steven Schorr (deceased). She attended Westhill High School (1990), Wheelock College (1994), and The University of Phoenix with a Master's of Nursing with high honors. She was also a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a substitute school nurse, and proficient in sign language. She was employed at Beacon Hospice as a Hospice MSRN.
Michele was a member of the Cape Cod Synagogue, Hyannis, MA. She enjoyed music, the beach, horror movies — Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she loved her three cats that always gave her great comfort.
She will be remembered for her loyalty, tenacity, ethics, caring and compassion, and her patience and understanding. She loved her hospice job.
Michele is survived by her two children, Sean and Evan Taylor, her mother Darlene Hornstein, stepfather Larry Hornstein, her sister Heather Mazarakos, a niece, a nephew, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Steven Schorr.
A funeral service for Michele will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, Connecticut, 06905.
